When you order our Loaded Ya-Ya Grouper Tacos, you’ll get three tacos filled to capacity (we doubt you’ll leave hungry). While the fish used in a traditional Baja fish taco is breaded and fried, we take a slightly different approach that’s in keeping with our Southern roots. We start with fresh Gulf grouper, which is rubbed with Joe and Dave’s special seasoning and then blackened, resulting in a smoky flavor and crispy texture. Then we add the blackened grouper, fresh iceberg lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese to soft flour tortillas and top everything with our signature Ya-Ya sauce.
What’s Ya-Ya sauce? It’s a spicy Cajun-inspired blend of seasonings—including chili powder, garlic, Tabasco sauce, and cayenne pepper—with a mayonnaise base. It adds a memorable jolt to our fish tacos and is best enjoyed with a glass of iced tea or a cold beer.
